Where Expertise Meets Passion
Our Company
DO Boxing Academy was founded by Danny and Diane O'Connor, a distinguished professional boxer and yoga professional. Danny is also trained in Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), a therapeutic model developed by Dr. Karyn Purvis and Dr. David Cross to meet the complex needs of children who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect. TBRI is designed to address the impact of trauma on the brain, body, and behavior, promoting healing and emotional regulation. Integrating TBRI principles with his expertise in Yoga and mindfulness stress reduction from the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Danny’s holistic approach helps transform lives through physical fitness, mental resilience, and emotional growth, making DO Boxing Academy a pioneer in holistic youth development.

A Personal Journey of Transformation
Words from Our Founder, Danny O'Connor
As the founder of DO Boxing Academy, my connection to boxing is not just professional—it’s deeply personal. This sport literally transformed my life. From navigating a challenging youth to redemption and a new direction through boxing, I’ve lived the powerful changes this discipline can bring. That’s why I established DO Boxing Academy. It’s not merely about boxing; it’s about using this platform to transform the lives of young people in our community.

I also deliver impactful speaking engagements, where I share my personal journey to inspire others and underscore the transformative power of resilience in overcoming adversity

Empowerment Through Boxing
Supporting Our Youth
We believe in the power of boxing as a tool for positive change. Proceeds from DO Boxing Academy contribute to offering free boxing instruction and mentorship programs specifically tailored for at-risk youth. These programs are designed not just to teach boxing skills but to foster confidence, discipline, and a sense of community among participants.
Community Statistics
Recent reports highlight a significant mental health crisis among youth in Colorado, with a staggering 58% increase in teen suicide rates over three years, making it the cause of one in five adolescent deaths in the state (Colorado Health Institute). This troubling trend points to a larger systemic issue, where many adolescents are battling severe mental health challenges without adequate support.
OUR
ProGrams
Our programs are designed to intervene in these crises by offering more than just physical training; we provide a supportive community and mental health resources that are crucial for today's youth. By participating in DO Boxing Academy, at-risk youth gain access to a safe space where they can develop not only physical strength but also mental resilience.
Your Role in Making a Difference:
You can help support our mission by sponsoring an at-risk youth. This sponsorship goes beyond just funding—it’s about providing a lifeline to those who need it most. By donating, you not only contribute to their physical and mental well-being but also offer them a chance at transformation and hope.
